  Bioscrypt FingerPrint Readers
Kantech's access control system integrates with the biometrics industry leader - Bioscrypt - to take away any doubt about the identity of the person trying to gain access to a protected area. Fingerprint identification is the most popular biometric method today due to its superior combination of strength, affordability, maturity, convenience and ease of use. It brings three important benefits: convenience of not having to carry keys or cards; elimination of risks coming from lost or stolen cards or keys; and identity fraud prevention ("buddy punching").

In conjunction with the fingerprint 1:N matching, a second credential-based match technique may be used to verify the identity of authorized persons.

The identification process is a one-to-many matching process (1:N). Only a biometric is used, no card or PIN. For this a new fingerprint sample is taken from the user and compared to a database of existing registered or stored users. When a match is found, the user is "identified”.

The verification process is a one-to-one matching process (1:1) using a card and a fingerprint. The user pre-identifies themselves with a card credential. A new fingerprint sample is taken from the user and compared to the credential holder’s previously registered fingerprint. If the fingerprint matches, the user is "verified" as who they say they are.

Install as new system, use as standalone door control, replace existing regular readers, or add more as you go. Several models are available. Consult the "Selection Chart" in the tab below and download the data sheets from the "Documents" tab for more information.
